Some of these battles include the Battle of Guadalcanal, the Battle of Cape Gloucester, the Battle of Peleliu, and the Battle of Okinawa.
The Pacific TV show promises to be full of action and suspense. It will be based on true events. In fact, the series was written based on two memoirs of real soldiers who were involved with these battles. The first memoir is titled, ‘With the Old Breed’ by Eugene Sledge and the second is called ‘Helmet for My Pillow’ by Robert Leckie. These two men outlined their experiences in the Pacific Theater of Operations and they now serve as a basis for the HBO miniseries.
The Pacific trailer shows us that the miniseries is sure to be full of intense action.
